Reports have emerged that claim to reveal various changes in the Manchester United’s football team for the upcoming season.
Manchester United has the option of exercising a 12-month extension to Ibrahimovic’s one-year deal, which is up at the end of the month. The 35-year-old’s preference to remain at Old Trafford, there is a rumour indicates that there is a possibility that the club puts him on the list of released players that is to be published by the Premier League on Friday.
According to the Daily Star, United is going to make a take-it-or-leave bid of £60m for Real Madrid ace Alvaro Morata. The striker’s agent, Juanma Lopez, has also waded into the on-going transfer saga. He said that Morata is looking for a bigger role and he could not confirm if he would stay with Real Madrid. “Alavaro wants to play more which is normal for an attacker who has scored 19 goals. It is too little; he is a player who wants to play a more important role. This has been a brilliant for Real Madrid who has won many titles. The player will take a clear and definitive decision in the coming days. I have not met the representatives from Real Madrid.”
The newspaper also said that United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will not be held to ransom by the Real hierarchy, who could make life difficult for the Premier League club over their refusal to sell David de Gea.
Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport also claims that United and AC Milan are in a tug of war over Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
The Daily Mail reports that Wayne Rooney is giving serious consideration to seeing out the rest of his contract at Manchester United. The striker’s future has been thrown into question after a lack of game time at Old Trafford last season and he has a year left on his contract with the option of a further 12 months.
If any or all these considered changes are implemented, the face of Manchester United’s team is bound to change.
