Hyundai has also jumped the fuel cell bandwagon and it has shown off its futuristic FE Fuel Cell Concept at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show recently.

Hyundai’s FE Fuel Cell will be the next generation hydrogen-powered vehicles which will make an attempt towards Hyundai’s ultimate ambition of establishing a zero-emission Hydrogen-Energy Society, the company said in a press statement.

Hyundai’s FE Fuel cell Concept is a part of its eco-friendly program that will look after more than 14 new environmentally-focused models by 2020. The program continues the example of innovation set by IONIQ, the first car to offer a choice of three electrified powertrains in a single body type.

The name ‘FE’ means Future Eco referring to car’s new technologies and eco-friendliness such as the car’s air humidifier, which recycles water emitted by the car’s clean hydrogen energy circulation to create a more comfortable cabin environment.

Hyundai’s new FE Fuel Cell concept is 20 per cent lighter, with 10 per cent greater efficiency. In addition, the power density of the fuel cell stack is increased by 30 per cent, boosting the car’s range significantly.

Keeping the limited hydrogen stations the innovative and highly capable FE Fuel Cell Concept car runs for more than 800 kilometers between refueling. FE Fuel Cell Concept will influence SUV Fuel Cell model which will be launched in 2018, featuring advanced ‘Hyundai Smart Sense’ driver assistance technologies, alongside an extensive hydrogen-powered range.
