New Surface Pro likely to be launched by Microsoft next week

New Surface Pro will be breaking cover if we are to believe a new leak by prolific tipster Evan Blass who has leaked a couple of renders of the alleged Surface Pro 4 refresh.

Surface Pro 5 grabbed headlines for most part of this year because people have been expecting launch of Surface Pro 4 successor in the form of a Pro 5. Owing to this many retailers even went on to offer huge discounts on Surface Pro 4 – most likely to clear their existing inventory and make way for the new Surface Pro device. However, Surface Pro 5 hopes were shattered to a million pieces after Panos Panay, Corporate Vice-President of Devices at Microsoft, said there was nothing as a ‘Pro 5’ at this time.

Just when Surface Pro 5 talks were dying, new leak emerged on the web thanks to Blass who says that the next device will not be a Surface Pro 5, but instead it will be just Surface Pro. The tipster has shared a couple of renders to prove what he is claiming and if the leaks are true, the new Surface Pro will be unveiled on Tuesday by Microsoft at an event in China.

The new Surface Pro isn’t a redesigned version of its predecessor and most likely incorporates a few hardware changes on the inside. Blass also adds that the company isn’t likely to launch a successor to the Surface Book at the upcoming Shanghai event.

If we are to look at previous leaks there is a possibility that alongside the new Surface Pro, Microsoft will release a range of optional accessories including the stylus (pen) and keyboard which will be available in a choice of four colours.

Microsoft earlier this month announced that it will host an event on Tuesday in Shanghai and “will show the world what’s next.” We will have to wait for Microsoft’s Shanghai event to finally see what the company has up its sleeves. Until then head to Amazon.com and check out amazing discounts on Surface Pro 4.
