Porsche has shown off its latest beast of a car – the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 – a street-legal variant of Porsche’s sports car.
The new 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 will be manufactured on the same production line as all other 911 street and 911 GT3 Cup racecars. The specification of the new 911 GT3 is same as the one used in 911 GT3 R and 911 RSR. Despite absence of turbocharger, the new 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 contains a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine which produces 500hp power and torque of 339 lb.-ft.
The specially constructed and tuned standard seven-speed dual clutch transmission (PDK) gives GT3 an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds with the top track speed of 197 miles per hour. Porsche has also a six speed manual transmission variant with an acceleration of 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.8 second and a top track speed of 198 miles per hour.
Porsche has improved its chassis design with Rear Axle Steering to produce superior driving dynamics, improved handling and enhancing racing experience to match the aspirated engine. To make the car lighter carbon fiber is used for manufacturing rear wings, front fascia and spoiler. The car is driven by its stylish aerodynamics.
The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 has new interior design for enhancing the driving experience. It has three seat options available one is Sport Seats Plus featuring enhanced bolsters for increased lateral support and electric adjustment of the seat back and seat height. The Adaptive Sport Seats Plus which offers an 18-way electric adjustment along with a power steering column and seat memory and a Full Bucket Seats with electric height adjustment and a fixed carbon fiber reinforced backrest.
The 2018 GT3 will be available in U.S by the end of 2017 with a labeled price of $143,600.
