2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport and the 2017 Acura NSX have landed the 2017 AUTOMOBILE All-Star awards thereby adding to the long list of awards the two cars have received till date.
The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport was selected on the basis of its high performances, style, class and desirability among the two dozen vehicles. America’s only US-built supercar Acura NSX was selected for its exceptional characteristics including driving dynamics, styling and refinement, and technological advancement among 23 contenders.
The new Civic Hatchback Sport is powered by 1.5 litre turbo engine with a six speed manual transmission system producing 180 horsepower and delivering a torque of 177lb-ft. Judges were impressed by the driving performance smooth gear box and easy handling of the car on tracks.
“The Honda Civic Hatchback Sport is a versatile, efficient car that’s a blast to drive hard,” said AUTOMOBILE Editor-in-Chief Mike Floyd. “Our editors praised its handling, steering feel, and smooth manual gearbox. And it’s a smoking deal at just over 22 grand. All of that makes it a runaway All-Star in our book.”
The 2017 Acura NSX is powered by three-motor twin turbocharged Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive powertrain producing 573 horsepower. Judges at the AUTOMOBILE were impressed by its electrifying driving performance on track which challenges the most exotic supercars.
“Yes, the Acura NSX is a tour de force of advanced engineering, but it’s far from cold and impersonal,” said Automobile Editor-in-Chief Mike Floyd. “Instead, the NSX is a supercar that makes you feel like a hero regardless of skill level at the track, and it’s eminently accessible and easy to drive off of it. A true All-Star.”
The editorial staff of AUTOMOBILE All-Star spends many days testing the contender’s cars on tracks and on streets by performing various tests and measures its versatility on long term and other epic features based drives. After the testing is done the editors votes are cast for the winners by private ballot.
