After months of wait BMW has finally released its all-new seventh generation BMW 5 Series Sedan equipped with some of the best in-class features including enhanced dynamics, assistance systems, connectivity features and a new and innovative operating system.
Built with a sporty, elegant and stylish figure, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan will be adding to the millions already sold ever since the first generation of the sedan was launched. The BMW 5 Series has been one of the most popular for the automaker with as many as 7.6 million units sold.
BMW AG expects the new Series 5 Sedan to establish new benchmarks technologically as well as emotionally with a design that is the best so far in the series. The automaker also points out that the new Series 5 Sedan continues to be the epitome of the business sedan.
One of the key things that BMW highlights about the new 5 Series Sedan is its EfficientLightweight lightweight design concept wherein the automaker has made increased use of aluminium and high-strength steels thereby reducing the weight of the 5 Series Sedan by up to 100 kilograms from that of its predecessor.
Combine this with the newly designed chassis and a low centre of gravity, the 5 Series Sedan offers exceptional torsional stiffness with a wonderfully dynamic driving experience with the long-distance comfort for which the BMW 5 Series is renowned.
Various chassis options such as Integral Active Steering, which can now be teamed with xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, add further talents to a dynamics-focused overall package designed to ensure the BMW 5 Series once again stands at the top of its class.
BMW has also incorporated the latest iDrive system, Special Synergy Thermoacoustic Capsule (SYNTAK) engine encapsulation technology, acoustic glazing for the windscreen, acoustic headliner, BMW ConnectedDrive features, BMW Connected, and BMW EfficientDynamics among other things.
