Motorola has revealed a list of smartphones that will be getting the all new Android 7.0 Nougat in the form of an over-the-air update.
The list of devices include those from the Moto X, Moto G, Moto Z, Droid family of smartphones. To be precise as many as 15 smartphones will be getting the latest Android Nougat operating system.
Google unveiled its Android 7.0 earlier in March this year and was released to developers in the form of developer beta after which it released the RTM version of the OS to select few nexus devices. Now the OS is finally ready to be shipped to all manufacturers with Motorola being the first to reveal the smartphones which will be getting the latest Android.
In an official statement, the Lenovo owned company said that they are happy to confirm arrival of Android 7.0 Nougat ton quite a few of their smartphones. Motorola will first released the new version of Android for Moto Z and Moto G (4th Gen) in Q4 after which it will continue to roll out the OS in a staged manner to all the devices mentioned in the list below:

Android 7.0 Nougat is one of the crucial Android updates in the recent times. The newest Android dessert offers same material design like Android 6.0 Marshmallow but adds new features like split screen multitasking and inline replies to notifications. Android Nougat also brings support for new Vulkan API, OpenJD-based Java environment and seamless software updates.
Android Nougat also brings support for file encryption, to better defend against security threats like stagefright. The update also introduces direct boot for better access to important notifications when the device boots.
